Wooow gilaaaaa akhirnya Masterpiece ini masuk Balilane Festival juga!
Kemaren waktu Popcon Asia gue sempet nginep di rumah temen gue, setelah semaleman cerita mengenai kegiatan di Popcon Asia kemaren gue disuguhi lah satu Film, gue udah excited banget sama hasil akhir produksi film ini, karena gue juga ngikutin prosesnya mulai dari Pre Produksi – Produksi sampe Post Produksi, meskipun engga terlibat langsung sih, tapi gue kepo hahahaha xD
Blogpost ini gue bakal sedikit cerita aja ttg Masterpiece ini, sekalian buat promosi juga sama epic nya film ini, kenapa bisa pantas masuk ke Festival bergengsi di Indonesia, mudah-mudahan masuk The Cannes juga nanti \o/
Nah, pada malam itu gue nonton lah film ini, judulnya Cakra Buana, aga-aga ngantuk di awal karena nontonnya udah malem juga, tapi makin lama makin melek karena cukup banyak plot twist.
Sebelumnya gue mau ngasih tau dikit tentang Film ini, ya mengenai apa yang gue rasakan dan menurut pengalaman gue nonton film, sori kalau sotoy ^^a
Cakra Buana adalah film Musical, denger musicalnya aja langsung kebayang Film Sherina, ah thebest banget dah film itu, film yang banyak nyanyi-nyanyinya, sampe sekarang aja lagu2 Sherina gue apal, malah kadang suka galau sendiri pas denger lagu itu.
Belum berhenti dari segi Musical, karena ada yang paling epic disini, yaitu ini Musical Sunda! Sunda bro! Gila film budaya Sunda bisa dibuat sedemikian rupa, dengan lirik Buhun yang juga jero, ditambah alunan Karinding yang dipukul jari, merinding banget dah itu tengah malem.
Nyanyi nya itu engga cuman beberapa kali, tapi semua dialog nya dibuat lagu! Ga tau gimana gue otak yang mikirin naskah ini semua, orang yang bikin lagunya pula, salut dah...
Apalagi pas bagian...... ah itunah lah damn damn daaaaaamnnnn, gerget juga takut lama-lama spoiler.

About The Film
Cakra Buana is not only about the life of Cakra, it is a story about the winding journey of the wheel of life that humans must pass, and sometimes human just cannot elude it.
Synopsis
After several years wandering, Cakra decided to return to his homeland. As his homecoming, Halimun Village lost its peace. The declining health of Weh, forces his son, Cakra, to replace the leader of Halimun in the midst of catastrophe. The sibling’s, Birawa and Laksmi, presence strengthen Cakra through hard times. Meanwhile, people who hates Cakra supports Galuh to seize the leadership. Who is Galuh? Why does he add bitterness to Cakra’s life intentionally? And apparently he even disturbs Cakra’s nearest people, including Laksmi, the woman he loves.
Director’s Statement
Coming back from a foreign place can be rough. I've sometimes wondered and questioned where I belong. Therefore I wanted to make a film about self-discovery and tell the the viewer that you can become whatever you want, you just need to overcome the obstacles.
My hope is that Cakra Buana will create an emotional experience for the viewers as they explore the movie which it's all sung-through for the first time in a Sundanese language.
